Yok Don National Park

Yok Don National Park is situated in Buon Don District, Dak Lak Province, and 40 km west of Buon Ma Thuot City. Established in 1992, Yok Don is one of the Vietnam’s largest nature preserves covering a total area of 115 545 ha, mainly of which is dry deciduous forest with the beautiful Serepok river flowing through.

As unspoiled forest accounts for more than 90% of the whole area, Yok Don Park has become an ideal habitat for wide variety of tropical flora and fauna species. Among 56 endangered species in Indochina, Yok Don is home to 36 species and 17 of which are listed in the World Red Book. Besides, the plant system here is abundant and diverse with 464 species, of which orchid alone comprises of 23 kinds of colourful patterns.

Location and getting there:

We can take flight from Hanoi about 02 hours (Vietnam Airline)

From Ho Chi Minh City to Buon Me Thuot, the flight take 01 hour and there are 4 flights for this route daily (Vietnam Airlines) or 07 hour to get there by car
